Is AI copywriting dead?

We are finally seeing some evidence that Google is treating AI copy as spam. Ethical marketers are letting out a sigh of relief.

It was only a matter of time.

Google's sussed GPT-3, the Artificial Intelligence algorithm that's behind the auto-generated copy used by lazy marketers and scammers.

The search giant have said that they will penalise GPT-3 content, and treat it as spam.

Lo and behold, Alekh Shah posted this screenshot on LinkedIn, showing how an AI-generated site has recently dropped from 4M/mo visitors to, erm, well, zero.

If you've used AI copywriting tools to generate content, now is the time to get it written by a human, and ditch the bot.

I'm a bit of a traditional marketer, and while I'm a bit of a techie geek that lives a bit of innovation, I can't help but feel that this is a good thing. 

What's worrying about AI content is that it has the potential to be an Organic SEO Killer. Can you imagine the amount of AI-generated (and highly-optimised) spam in the organic indexes? Gulp! 

Well done, Google. If this graph is correct then we can all let out a sigh of relief.
